Last week, Simon, John, Dom and Anna Ross flew to Courchevel - the beautiful ski resort located in the commune of Saint-Bon-Tarentaise in the French Alps - where they performed an acoustic set at a private event, in fulfillment of their amfAR pledge that raised close to $900,000 for the charity's HIV/AIDS work.

The band headlined amfAR's annual Cinema Against AIDS gala last year, which was celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2013. The event, which takes place in the South of France during the Cannes Film Festival, was perhaps the organization's most glamorous to date, featuring not only a spectacular fashion show, curated by Carine Roifeld, entitled 'The Ultimate Gold Collection', but also 38 of the world's top models - who joined the band on stage during their performance of "Girls on Film."

With a star-studded audience and some truly extraordinary auction items, the event raised $25 million in just a few hours - making it their most successful fundraiser to date. Duran's offer of a private concert to the highest bidder was one of the biggest draws of the night - so they were delighted to deliver their promise last week to an ecstatic crowd.
